I just received a forwarded email, and I can safely conclude that either:
1. People do not read properly before forwarding emails on, or
2. "When money is involved, just do it." That includes not using your brains.
Let's take a look at the email.
They had like a whole chunk of people with accounts of them receiving money and stuff.
This was at the end of it all:

Please do not take this for a junk letter. Bill
Gates is sharing his fortune. If you ignore this you will repent later. Microsoft and AOL are now the largest

beta test.
When you forward this e-mail to friends, Microsoft can and will track it (if you are a Microsoft Windows user) for a two week time period.
For every person that you forward this e-mail to, Microsoft will pay you $245.00, for every person that you sent it to that forwards it on, Microsoft will pay you
$243.00 and for every third person that receives it, you will be paid $241.00. Within two week! s, Microsoft will contact you for your address and then send
you a cheque.
1. Title states "UK Requirement". Some bozo changed the title in the forwarded email to "Singapore Requirement". Hello? Change title =/= money will come to Singapore.

Microsoft can and will track it for a two week time period. And a look at when the email was sent? YEAR 2005. HELLO, 3 TO 4 YEARS PASSED ALREADY. WHY ARE YOU STILL FORWARDING IT BECAUSE EVEN IF IT WERE TRUE, THE TWO-WEEK TIME PERIOD IS OVER.
3. Bill Gates is no longer the richest man in the world. Why would he be sharing his fortune?

Omgosh, I just opened the second chain mail, and the main content is an entire chunk of words. With a font colour of white.
